The organizers of the market reserve the right to accept vendor applications on a discretionary basis. Applying does not guarantee acceptance to the market. Once you have been accepted you may transfer your booth payment via e-transfer to prairievintagerevival@gmail.com. DO NOT SEND PAYMENT UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED.
2. The market hours for the public are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. No sales shall take place before 10 a.m. to the public or other vendors. Vendors can set up anytime between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. the day of the market. All booths and vendors must be fully set up and ready to sell at 9:45 a.m. A mandatory vendor meeting will happen in the center of the yard at 9:50 a.m. You must remain set up until 4 p.m. unless you sell out. All booths must be dismantled and cleaned up by 5:30 p.m.
3. In the event of steady rain, daytime high temperatures below 7 degrees Celsius, or steady winds over 45 km/hr, the event will be postponed to the following Saturday. The decision will be made the night before the market.
4. Cancellations with full refunds must be made 20 days before the event (Aug 25). Cancellations with 10-20 days notice will be 50% refunded. If you cancel 10 days or less, you will not be refunded. Please note: acceptance to future events will be declined if you sign up/pay for a booth and do not show up. No-shows are automatic bans for any future market.
5. Vendors participate at their own risk. While we make every effort to have a clean and safe yard, natural obstacles exist. Prairie Vintage Revival, its organizers, and landowners are not responsible for injury, damage, lost or stolen items that may occur. You are responsible for your vehicle, booth, and all items at all times.
6. Vendors must help promote the event via social media, emails, texts, and others to your community and customers. Textable promotional pictures will be provided as well as printable posters you can print for your community. Everyone promoting makes for a successful event.
7. Be mindful and courteous of your fellow vendors and the property itself. Keep your booth tidy and inviting at all times. Use garbage cans and recycling bins that are provided.
8. You may use signs, business cards, and flyers at your booth to promote your business. This is a great way to gain new customers and followers. I also recommend having your Instagram/Facebook page links obvious for customers to find.
9. Bring change for cash sales. Internet is good in the yard but if many are using it at once there may be lulls in accepting e-transfers.
10. Price your items. Customers like to see prices or a clear poster with prices listed.
11. A well-stocked, pleasant booth is always a draw for customers. Because you are competing for customers, you want to put yourself in the mindset of a shopper.
This is our first annual flea market. There will be glitches and we will all learn. I am asking for patience and grace and I’m happy to extend the same to all of the vendors. I have participated in multiple markets over the years in various cities and towns throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan. I am all for helping out anyone who needs advice or assistance before the market. Feel free to ask me anything, but understand the day of the market I and my husband will be very busy and unable to help individual vendors with setup. Please bring help or collaborate with fellow vendors to set up your displays. The vendor list will be shared in mid-August.
FEES:
– Space for 10×10 tent on yard: $25
– Space for 10×20 tent on yard: $35
– Space for a vehicle with a trailer attached for booth: $35
– Tailgate (truck backed in to be used for booth): $25
– 6-foot or 8-foot table set up on yard: $20
– 6-foot by 6-foot space in barn: $30 (limited spaces)
You are responsible for your tables and chairs. If you do not see an option for your setup, please inquire.
There will be a place to park your vehicles once you are set up. You may drive to your spot, unload, and then go park before setting up. We do not want the yard to become too congested. Portapotties will be onsite. There will be some sort of food/concession (to purchase) for vendors and public and all-day coffee and water (free) for vendors.
We look forward to hearing from you!
